Canting the tracks?

Hi all :)

I was wondering, is it possible (in any way) to cant the tracks over to one side on curves? I know it can't be done with the spline editor but is it not possible any other way?

Jack

You can do it if you are making your own tracks in Gmax or Blender. You make a spline with the superelevation desired, and then two transition track splines from level to superelevated and back level again. I made some that are over in USLW's site. They are a bit of a nuisance to use though, and hopefully someday N3V will make tiltable splines.

Ooh okay, thanks for that :) I'd have a go but sadly I'm not experienced in them! I'll just wait and pray that N3V introduce this :) thanks again!

Hi Jack,

Check out the TSM track by some Russian builders. This track has superelevation tags in it. I'm not sure how it works because I've never used it like that. It has nice details and I've used it for yards and places where I wanted a sandy, dirty ballast.

Maybe shane turner who designed the Content Manager Plus system can help - he may know a secret tag you can put in the config file and our track will tilting. Or he may be able to confirm that one doesn't exist.

His reply will be much anticipated I'm gathering.

@John: I'll download one of the TSM tracks and see what I can do, thanks for the advice! :)

@bernhart: In that case, I'm hoping Shane will respond but I shan't bug him with it. If it isn't possible at the moment then it's not a problem, just figured it might be a nice feature on a few sharp curves :)

Thank you!

Jack
