A question like this is almost guaranteed to start a flame war, sorry. Plus, you can save the trouble of the question by looking at the sheer number of U.S. versus Canadian users.

Just build what you like or what you feel Trainz needs. As long as it's of reasonable quality, people will appreciate it.

I feel the void needs to be filled with both. To my knowledge there is no great examples of CNR&CPR Steamers. I would love to see some of those. Bet yet again, I would also like to see high quality Reading Company and New York Central railroad steamers.

Canadian.....We got plenty of US stuff already as the way it is.....More CN and CP stuff is what we need :Y:

Fleming with one M guys :P

I personally would really like to have some more BC rail content. Easily my favorite region of railroading in Canada.

I mean you have the Tumbler Ridge branch line (my favorite), the BCOL wide cab dash 8's and the Alco C636's in that two tone green paint.

okay I'll stop now.

More Canadian stuff needed. Some good steamers as they are in short supply. Also good passenger rolling stock from all eras.

I think the best steam loco we have for the CNR is that 2-8-2. It's the one at USLW. I think it's been around for a few years. I'm sorry, I forget who did it, but I think he did a great job on the herald, CN "licence plate", and lettering. There is also a Northern at that site. It could use a little work on the herald etc. I have not really got into driving locos yet, so I don't know how well they perform. Although the Mikado is not the right class for me, I plan to use it for now. I don't believe the Northern was used on the route I built. There is also a 0-6-0 at the DLS.

I had 5 "CNR" locos built. 0-6-0, 0-8-0, 2-8-0, 2-8-2, and 4-6-2. I'm thinking I should have supplied better info to the builder. I still think that old Mikado is the best looking CNR loco I have. There are many US locos that would work as Canadian locos. I hope that some talented fellas will put Canadian skins on them someday. Boy, I wish I could learn how to do this, but I just can't get the hang of it. Even if I could, I lack any artistic talent.

Whitepass has done a couple of CP boxcars in the last couple of months and BN1970 put a CNR skin on one of them. They look real nice! A little birdie told me there are some "kick bum" Canadian steam era transition boxcars on the way!

I know us Canucks think our southern brothers have it all, but even they seem to be needing more steam era locos and rolling stock. I guess everyone everywhere wants more. I know I do! Not just those big honking monsters! Some "average sized" CNR steam locos and yard switchers are what I'd like to get my hands on! On the brighter side, Canucks have all that top quality steam era US rolling stock that we can use.

Cheers....Rick.....I'm happy when I find any steam era North American item. I'm in Heaven, if it's CNR!

I wouldn't mind more Canadian stuff, especially in the passenger department. I think BC Rail is underrepresented as well. But you can never have enough new content from any region/type. especially moving forward with the new standards making older items unusable/difficult to fix.

Definitely voting for more Canadian content. By the way has anyone ever considered doing the White Pass and Yukon Railway as a route (the original of current shorter route)? That would provide a classic route with content for both of our countries, and lots of steam to boot.

Well, things ARE looking up, for me anyway! I've received 2 beautiful CNR 2-8-0s, class N4a and N4b. I have an 0-6-0 on the way. Lilb did all those great CNR and CP boxcars and flatcars. I'm using sandman2's CNR cabooses. I'm hoping Brian has a soft spot in his heart for us poor Canucks! All those other locos I had built have been retired. It has not been cheap, but well worth it. I now know how boc61 feels. She may leave... if she catches me!

Cheers...Rick
