Can you go backwards (in Surveyor) and fix a Driver's session?

Hello, I have a question ...

Can you go backwards (in Surveyor) and fix a Driver's session?

I set up some chores for a driver to do (go here, load something, go to some exit, drive via this way or that, drive again via somewhere, and somewhere else etc.) then I find that either I have made a mistake, or the train does not go nicely there...

I know that I have gone back into the driver session (in Surveyor) and tried to delete or change a command for the driver, and have never figured how to do it. (this is Trainz 2004, which I was using today).

Can it be done, I ask .. Or is it one of those impossible Trainz things?

I hope it is possible.

Thanks for any help. Bob P.

~snip~ Can it be done, I ask .. ~snip~
Yes!:)

In Surveyor, open the Edit Session Rules dialog box by clicking on the appropriate small icon at top left of screen (the one which looks like a little page).

Select (highlight) the Driver Setup panel.

Select Edit.

Use the scroll bar to select the driver/loco whose commands you want to change.

Double click on the circular command you want to delete. To add new ones simply click on the little green down arrow which will appear as you float the cursor between any of the circular commands and you will be offered the selection list. Choose as required.

Hope this helps.

Not sure if double click works on newer Trainz versions however just dragging the icon off the bar does work. Green arrow works the same.

Well, thanks fellows! Dragging the items off the list worked!
Double-clicking did not work in my build of Trainz 2004 (2370).

Sometimes just asking solves the problem! I'm sure I have looked this up in the documentation,
(and on Google also). I never came up with an answer ...

Cheers to All !

My TRS2004 is the same (build 2370).
I've tried double clicking slowly and carefully. It doesn't work. I reckon I must have been doing a bit of dragging during my usually very quick double click.:o

Dragging off is clearly the correct method.

Anyway, I'm pleased that the problem's been solved.

Thanks to all for this thread. That's something else I've learned. And to think that all this time I've been deleting the whole bar and starting again - quite a chore with a stopping train with multiple stops and commands.

Furthermore: If you left-click the leftmost command icon while in Driver, the command aborts and immediately restarts. This is the equivalent of issuing a "Stop Train" and then continuing the schedule, only much quicker.

So if the command is, for example, a "Drive To Trackmark" then the train will re-evaluate the path to the trackmark and then continue.

Edit:
You can also re-order the commands either in Surveyor or in Driver mode, by dragging the command to a new position. The current command is aborted, as above. Supposing that the train is currently in a Wait command: You can move one of the other commands to the very first position and it will be executed, returning to the Wait command when the re-positioned command completes.

One thing I have noticed is that in build 61388 the commands can get scrambled or disappear if you meddle with them in Driver mode. This never happened with the base version of TS12.
