CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

I am using Trainz 2009 Build 44653, approx twice a week after downloading items from the DLS when i try to start Trainz i get a info box that reads Updating Traimz Database then i have to wait 6 to 7 hours before i am able to start Trainz. What an i doing wrong and how do i avoid this happening

Do you have high speed internet ?

Things that can help:

Clear your CM download wish list once you have downloaded assets.

In CM "Options" blank out your UN & PW and leave them blank ... shut down CM ... restart Trainz CM and re-enter your UN & PW in the blanks, exactly as they were previously.

At Planet Auran "Edit Password" highlight your PW, and re-enter your same PW again right over top of it, exactly as it was previously ... save.

At Planet Auran/" Edit Profile"-"Save" it without making any changes to your profile.

When opening the CM let it update for a minute or 2.

When closing down CM let it sit for a minute or 2 before closing it down.

Wait a little while between shutting down CM, and opening the Trainz/Start, and starting Trainz driver/surveyor

Hi

This is usually caused by shutting the computer down too quickly after closing Trainz. Although Trainz has disappeared from the screen the database is still carrying out housekeeping in the background. Closing the computer down too quickly can interupt this housekeeping and corrupt the database leading to the database updating next time you start Trainz. As mentioned above, wait at least a couple of minutes before shutting the computer down and it should cure the problem.

For TS2009 SP4 and TS2010, it needs up to 5 minutes to close down fully.

I'd advise you turn on the background process windows though - click Options (on the Launcher), then Developer, then tick the second tick box, then click OK.

You will get at least one extra button at the bottom of the screen - wait for this to close before shutting down your system.

I generally open a Task Manager window and wait until rhe TADDaemon process has shut down.
