Hi,
I have some *.kmz files showing the route of the Colorado Midland for instance, and I was wondering if I could use them as a starting point to get a DEM file into Trainz with the info from the kmz files showing as markers or something?
I know the files open in Google Earth, but doing screenshots from that into TransDEM sounds like a lot of work, and I don't even know how to get the kmz info over there - but I'm rather new at this as so far I only done DEM direct into TransDEM (and before that I used MicroDEM and HOG back in early days) for three maps.
I been playing around a little, but so far I'm not getting where I want, and I figured, that as long as I'm in here reading the forums, let me ask in here too.
Anybody know any hints for me?
Thanks
Linda
