I understand that the Vista Licence allows you to install Window XP - your problem may be in getting hold of a copy of XP.
You do need to read your licence carefully - it can vary from country to country and there is a significant difference between the OEM versions and the retail...
(OEM are "tied" to a praticular machine, the retail version is transferrable betwen machines.)
