Can anyone tell me what this means and what to do with it

The Tag "Kind" is not permitted within a container of type 'Default-night.
Sounds like something related to an old girl friend I once had, lol do I send this packing too or is it fixable thank you.

Solution to that is to move the Kind tag to the top of the config.txt file.

Kind at top of cnfig.txt file "industry" I replaced with "attached" from the kind below, all it did was remove the pic from the list? I think I am just about finished wasting my time with Trainz DLS no matter what I download there is something wrong with it.
While I am no lover of Microsoft I think I am going to go give their sim a try can't be any worse than this.

Actually, it's even simpler. Simply select the text and press Ctrl and C on the keyboard to copy the text.

Once done, you can paste it into a post (Ctrl+V)

OK - there are two ways of doing this.

You can either open the asset for edit, and copy the text from the config.txt file, or you can right-click the asset and choose View Config File.

To do the open for edit method:

1.Right-click the asset in Content Manager.
2.Select Edit, then click Edit in Explorer.
3.Open the config.txt file (it may appear as just config)
4.Press Ctrl and A to select all the text, then Ctrl and C to copy it.

Once that is done, you can close Notepad (or equivalent text editor), switch back to Content Manager, and commit or revert the asset.

Once you have copied the text, you need to paste it into a post (you can either use Ctrl and V, or right-click and Paste)

Here try this link it helps give a general idea of trouble with trainz etc....
Bottom line is once ya get the hang of it you ll roll pretty good.

MSTS is good also but alotta 3rd party ad ons to fix problems MS abandoned...either way ya gonna have to learn a little tricks of the trade.......

Tried the above, can copy config but still no way to post on here the hell with it I am out of patience with this whole sim, time for cocktails lol. I don't have to fight with those when the glass is empty I just refill it.

Having copied the config file as Shane says you paste into the same box you have typed your other posts following a post reply etc.

You might also need to keep the config file open in notepad until you have pasted your text. I have noticed that copied text can be lost if you close the file before pasteing.

I wish I could but the little box on the bottom left say's I can not post attachments not sure what to do about that, the config text is for the Bridge Crane, they call it Conveyor Crane.

What I meant was the kuid number of the asset as <kuid:xxxxxxx:xxxxx>

To the copying to forum problem.
You are not adding an attachment you are copying text to a post. Sounds like you are copying the file, you need to open it and copy the contents and post that.

To copy the config.txt to the forum.

Either:
1. highlight the asset in content manager.
2. Right click.
3. Click Edit then click open for edit in explorer
4. Double click config.txt, may just say config if you have left windows at default of hide known extensions, this will open the config file in notepad.
5. In notepad click edit.
6. Select all.
7. click Edit again.
8. click copy.
9. Go to your forum post and put the cursor on the page.
10. Right click.
11. Paste.
12. Close notepad and explorer.
13. Highlight asset.
14 Right click.
15 Edit then click Revert.



You can use Ctrl C for copy and Ctrl V as keyboard shortcuts for Copy and Paste.

Or

1. Highlight asset in Content Manager
2. Right click
3. View Config File
4. Highlight the text by left clicking with the mouse and dragging the cursor across all the text so the background turns blue.
5. Right click
6. Ctrl C
then do as for 9 to 11 above.

You can also do as above but copy the text into a code box using the # in the menu in the create post box and placing the cursor in between the two brackets containing the word code the pressing Ctrl V.
