Does anyone know of any cab signalling systems available for trainz OTHER THAN the built in ones for the Metro-North route, preferably free ones.

No, Only JointedRail Payware on the SD70Ms,SD70MACs, e.t.c.


The ES44s and SD70ACes don't have custom cabs.
If you buy from JR it will say in the loco features (under the reviews) if the loco has cab signaling. Example:
