buildable object disappeared

I recently discovered that some sidewalk corners that I've made have disappeared. They check out fine and I can place them in game but previous instances aren't showing except for the invisible road (track). I can delete that invisible track but the spline points of the sidewalk that were attached cannot be edited in any way which means I need to redo a whole bunch of sidewalk. Any reason why this would be happening? I have performed a database repair and also merged my various route layers together in hopes that it might help but to no avail.
