I have Trainz 2022, and when I start the program it shows build# 115985. Is there a newer build out there for me?
Thanks

You have the very first build of the game (before SP1) and maybe there is not provided update for it now.I have Trainz 2022, and when I start the program it shows build# 115985. Is there a newer build out there for me?

Be smart though and archive a copy of your data and Trainz install onto an external hard drive before you try and 'update' anything. You have the very first build of the game (before SP1) and maybe there is not provided update for it now.
Remove this outdated version and then download and install the newest version (SP4) from here: https://www.auran.com/planetauran/download_product.php
I agree that backups should always be done. What I have described applies to the base game and there is nothing personal in this folder.Be smart though and archive a copy of your data and Trainz install onto an external hard drive before you try and 'update' anything.

After you've installed Trainz Plus, you can then select your data folder. Thanks everyone for your inputs.....I've successfully backed up my previous installation and user data files/folders. I've also successfully downloaded and installed Trainz Plus. My question now is about a DEM route that I was working on with TRS 22. Where was that kept, and how can I get it back?
Thanks.....
I was... sorry about that. I thought you still had your existing data folder on your hard drive. You know what they say about assumptions. Thanks John, I followed the steps you gave, but unfortunately that did not work. I'm assuming that you were directing me to locate and select the Data folder from my backed-up files, and after doing so my DEM Route called "Marietta Sept 24" is not located in the Data Folder.
