Doing my best.
Hello all, just a quick one today.

I am looking for some decent British steam locos/routes for 2006 on the DLS. However, being from Australia, and slightly lazy, i am unsure what search terms to use. Suggestions, anyone?
Thanks in advance, mattm.

Umm, okay, just did another search of DLS and found plenty of locos. That being the case, could somebody recommend some decent LMS, GWR branch locos/rollingstock?
Thanks once again.

For UK steam locos LMS_MAN has done some very good payware ones which are only available until 31st September 2009 so get a few whilst you can, especially the LMS ones.

Rolling stock, myself, paulhobbs, blue, jonny211, spring to mind. Details of more modern stock can be found here

It's worth having a dig on the web site below, you'll need to enter the name to find the items on the DLS. I work with a few others such as bobsanders and GWR is one of our preferred companies.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

barn700, johnwhelan, going to look at the payware, however, due to my current financial status LOOK will unfortunately be the keyword there, LOL.

stovepipe, bill69 and stagecoach. Thanks for the suggestions, there's a lot to sort through. I'll do that over the next few days, the locos look real nice. Now, if someone could suggest a route or two for me to run these on? (Edit: Preferably ones that aren't too dependency heavy, if possible. Thanks)
Thanks once again for the assistance.

My recommendation would be for Colhad's Castle by Trackplate - 374 dependencies, 258 built-in.

It's a great little scenic layout to test out those locos, with mainline, a branchline, active stations and industries.

cheers

In general there is enough good quality freeware around that you can get by without payware. For UK steam though one or two LMS_MANs locos are worth considering before they are no longer available.
