Brand New Frisco 1522 model from TrainzAmerica

I already plan to make the coaches she pulled. .

Cab font - fixed

I like the domes this way. So if you want the domes to have 1 ring then feel free to edit the steam_dome and sand_dome.tga files.

I don't know if y'all have gotten everything on the engine animated properly yet, but when time permits could you possibly shoot a video of the engine and sorts in-game so that we can see how they appear there? Looking great by the way!

Engine has yet to be animated. The oil and auxillary tenders are ingame. The auxillaries 70 ton Barber bogey is animated. The bogey for the oil tender is giving me a fit though. Blender doesnt want to export the .kin animation file.

I wont be making a video of it. K&L Trainz has offered that up. Unless Steve changes his mind, then I will do the video.

Can anyone who may know a solution help me.

I have the animation complete on the 6 axel commonwealth tender bogey.

b.r.wheel01 linked with wheel01
b.r.wheel02 linked with wheel02
b.r.wheel03 linked with wheel03
b.r.main linked with truck frame
All animations are then linked to b.r.wheel01

Which is the same way I did the Auxillary tender bogey.

When I go to export from blender I check the "Export Mesh Data and Export Animation Data"

However, for whatever reason Blender will not export the animation. I get no warnings or errors in the console. I even redid the animation 2-3 times with the same results.

Can anyone possible help? I really need it.

Even though i have 2010. I will not be making it for that version. If you would like, you can always try backdating it. But unfortunatly I dont think that will work.

You probably can back date it. Content normally still works after doing this, but I wouldn't suggest trying it with a route.

Just tried it with 2010. Backdating will not work. The only way to get this model into 2010 is if I made it in 2010, which is unlikely to happen since I dont like that version.

Would love to but neither me or trainboi1 know how to animate a flag just yet. I dont really care much for Frisco having flags on her anyway.

Chance, would you consider adding a ground plane shadow to your locomotive please? It doesn't have to be anything complex, just a standard JR-style black plane with feathered edges, really does make any rolling stock stand out and look much more realistic. I could help you out creating the transparent texture if you like.

Cheerio,
Nicholas

I havent fooled around with those before. I myself prefer to be able to see the track under it. But ya, if you can explain how I could make it, I will add it to all the assets.

I will show, this is how it is done in 3ds max, but the process should make sense for blender as well.

Here is the alpha channel of the texture, the texture itself is just 0,0,0 black

Hopefully this helps
