BR Class 27

Hi....

I`m searching for a BR Class 27 in green, either with half or full yellow ends for a route that`s under construction - I`ve got the Class 24, 25, 26, 37 and 40 in green but no Class 27 !

I`ve a feeling this beast does not exist, although the actual item was as common as muck up in Scotland.

Methinks you are correct - you are probably already aware of the blue one (BR Class 27 Blue,<kuid:343177:27001>) on the DLS. From a quick look at the files I think it might be possible to reskin it for your own use (but there may be detailing problems).

You could try and get hold of the author "uky901y" although I don't think he's been on these forums for a while. You could also try posting over at the BritishTrainz Forum here: http://trainz-forum.neonw.com/index.php

Edit: On checking a bit further the above blue class 27 was a reskin of a loco by "zxr400" so I guess it's this one: Class_27_0_Blue,<kuid2:51536:27100:2>.

many thanks for the info, I did find the blue version you talk about... but my skills don`t go as far as re-skins.

It`s not a massive problem, more of a `would be nice to have`.

I could have another look at the files but, from my first (brief) look yesterday, I doubt that the white waist ine is possible in a reskin - did this class all have that waistline when in the (proper !) green livery or were some "overall" green?

If they were I might have a go at an "overall Green" version for personal use (and maybe ask the original author if I might publish it). No promises!

Keep checking the DLS after December 1st and there may be 3 new green class 27s on there and another 3 blue variants

I did find out that all the class 27 were in Brunswick green on build (still trying to beat fran1 for the best pic !!)

D5380 and D5382 were both in 2 tone green (not overall green), you may just see these two also in December...

A clutch of green 27`s due in december.... soon `Inversnecky` will be ringing to the sound of type 2 engines !

Put it this way, all of the current gaps in the BRCW ScR type 2 liveries should be fully covered by December, and that includes the class 26s

Hmmm, are you building Inverness then? There may be something in the pipeline for that too although it is some way distant at present.

Hi pfx,

No, I`m not building `the` Inverness.... but the route I`m building (branch line) every town will have the word "Inver" in it !!

The station at the end of the branch is called Inversnecky :hehe: , 2nd from the end is Inverdon. The route will take 37s + 40s but is more suited to the type 2 (facilities for steam running included).

64 boards done... goodness knows how many more to go :'(
