BNSF50 ATLS Crossings: Deactivation Issue

Okay. First off, let me say how fabulous the crossings made by BNSF50 are. I use them exclusively!

On my Indiana Rail Road route, I have one particular ATLS crossing set up that has 2 tracks; the main and a siding. I have been experiencing some issues.

Also, I have 4 different crossings connected to the same "circuit," being that they all activate and clear at the same time, because they are too close to all function independently of each other.

The crossing I am having trouble with is the first of the 4 on that particular "circuit." I had a cut of cars placed between the entrance and exit circuits of the crossing, but not occupying the crossing island, thus not past the exit circuit.

I brought a locomotive through the crossing from the opposite direction on the main. I let it roll up past the exit circuit, then threw the switch to the siding to lash up to the cut of cars. As I coupled, the cars rolled back a couple of feet and entered the crossing island on the siding. As I pulled forward, and exited the island, all 4 crossings tripped. I did every move I could think of, but the crossings would not clear. I had to decouple the locomotive, clear all circuits, go through all 4 crossings, clear those circuits, and come through again. Very repetitive.

Is it even possible to set up 4 crossings on the same entrance/exit circuits, with double-track? I realize this is a lot of information, and I would appreciate some words of advice from anybody that isn't confused by now.

Without seeing your setup I would guess that you're stopping in between the triggers thus not having completed the circuit its not tripping correctly. If it were me I would not use the atls crossing set up near a yard where you'll be stopping short of one of the triggers. Besides in a yard area you'll be going slower than 45mph so you don't really need atls anyway. As atls is better utilized on high speed main line.

Depending on the ATLS mode you are using will depend on how many triggers you need to pass. If you need to go into a yard you dont need to have a trigger but instead use one of the driver trigger commands. These are placed in the driver command list and count as one trigger. there are three versions depending which mode you have set the crossing up for. If you have set up the crossing for 4 way mode then 4 triggers need to be passed to complete the operation. This could be two track triggers plus two driver command triggers, or three track triggers and one driver command trigger , each case four triggers.
Adrian19 also did a different command which closed or opened gates/barriers.

I had this same issue and I wasn't using ATLS. In Trainz 2009 the BNSF Crossings time out. I had a train of over 50 cars and at 35mph they would time out half way through. The cars then went through the train.:o
