Blender...again

I dont understand my name
Hey :D
i downloaded the free Trainz IM file exporter for blender from trainzdev.com (im pretty sure the website doesnt exist anymore). When i export one of my epic creations, im expecting an IM file but it comes out as an XML file, which opens in internet explorer. It has around a megabite of written data that isnt any use to me.
I dont get how im supposed to get the im file. Am i supposed to extract the data in someway or something?
Im guessing someone might know because blender is used a lot for content creation.

"You also need to copy in the Auran XML importer, needed for Blender etc. http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php5/Downloads then download Trainzimporter.rar"

The exporter builds an xml file which is then fed into the xml importer to create the .im file. Copy this file into the same place as the exporter.py script as mentioned in the instructions.

The export script will do this automatically if you have the importer in the correct folder.
