a good watch I enjoyed and its sad to think such a huge amount of infrastructure was just let go like that ... the workings of the yard would have been awesome even now...

I knew I had seen this before somewhere but it is interesting to see it again and the dramatic changes.

Quite fascinating. How old is this? The frozen slush reminded me of why I don't want to go back to England. The capstan reminded me of a job I had once at Rye House Power Station in Hertfordshire - we used one to "marshal" the empty coal trucks - potentially dangerous things: it was very easy to catch a hand or a foot in the rope.
