Bit of help needed

This probably been asked before but I don't seem to be able to find it if it has. As a recent convert to 2009, I am struggling to import a lot of earlier content from the DLS and from my existing 2006 files. I have been told and indeed have seen what looks like confirmation from numerous items on the Dls that 2004, 2006 assets can be downloaded and run in 2009, albeit it in a compatablity mode, well, I dont know if this is true, all I know is that I am ground to a halt with this one, is there any particular (and more than likely simple) solution to all this?

You can't import to 09 direct from the TRS06 'Local' folder because the folders in 'local' are compressed. You can however use the 'Open for Edit > Explorer' menu option and import them from the TRS06 'Edit' folder. You can open assets for edit in quite large batches, say 100 assets at a time. Don't forget to re-commit the assets before closing 06...

The answer was simple then after all , seriously though, thanks for your help, all sorted now and carrying on with my Nottingham Coal fields map
