Doe's anyone know how to remove Big Smoke Effect Kuid2:118781:28015:2, I tried it on a route I am working on but decided to remove it, I have tried everything to move, remove it cannot do anything with it, even tried wire view and digging a hole, could it be lack of tfx file claims it needs it to work correctly but I have not been able to find it anywhere, thank you.

Had the same problem a couple of years back.

I got rid of it with the help of this thread.

The advice applied to TRS2004. However, you might find the advice helpful for your version. If it doesn't put you on the right lines I'm sure someone will chime in.

I also recall some other advice where someone suggested cutting and pasting a blank piece of baseboard over the general area of where the smoke is appearing. The snag with that is that the area is very large and you are likely to damage bits of your Route that you want to keep.

It is a great asset. What a pity the maker didn't put in a larger grab point for such a large area of smoke. I did locate it visually one one occasion, but that involved zooming the trainzoptions -surveyourfov value to maximum close-up and a great deal of searching in wireframe mode. The grab point was a scale size of around a thumbnail and a similar colour to the grey baseboard!

Good luck.

Cheers

This should work, find in cm and make a cdp of it and any dependancies (for future use), save to desktop.
Delete asset and any deps in your cm.
Open route and check for smoke, shouldn't be any, save route.
Re install asset and deps.

This will work but you need to delete missing assets when you open the route. If you do not then the smoke will return when you re load it.

Thanks Fran that worked like a dream,as far as assets for it I have no idea what they are or where to find them, I agree with you that it could be a great asset, would have been perfect for the quenching tower for the coke oven.
