Went to an iMAC and don't want to add Windows to it. Planning to get a PC but have a 2004 railroad that took me a year to build and want to use it. Also, interested in the 2010 and what computer will do the job as far as specs? I read that if you get Windows 7 Pro it will let you run old XP software on the Windows 7 or can you merge the 2004 railroad into the new 2010. I will appreciate any help you guys and give me on this.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I just installed Windows 7 on my laptop. It runs TRS2004 routes well, all the way up to TS2010.

Dell 1720 Inspiron Laptop Running Windows 7
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00 GHz
Nvidia GeForce 8600m GT 256 MB memory
3Gb ram

Thanks Joe

THANKS JOE, that's a great help! I've always been a DELL fan in my PC days and will jumb over to their website and see what I can get. Looks like the trains will be runnin!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!

I run TS2010 on a below-minimum spec machine and it runs fine. The trick (at least for me) is: 1. I run Windows XP 32-bit SP2; 2. I run it in OpenGL mode with an nVidia graphics card; 3. my machine's a homebuilt, so I don't have that nasty crap Dell and HP install, especially Norton's or McAfee's 4. I have disabled many of the unnecessary services and junkware files that run in the background, such as the 3-5 background programs every HP product installs; 5. I run the machine offline, so I don't need any anti-virus or anti-spyware software. The latter has a MAJOR impact on performance.

I suspect if you tried to run TS2010 as a virtual machine under either MacOS or Windows7, performance would be degraded since neither exactly run Trainz in a native mode.
