Best paint scheme And worst

are you asking us what our favorite paint schemes are?
if so:

Best: WP Orange And Silver
2nd Best: VE/SP Tiger Stripes On GE 44 Ton Locomotives

Worse: Equestrain Rail's J Class*

^Enough Said^

best: Candy Apple Green and Stagecoach Yellow of the Chicago & NorthWestern (Zito Yellow sucked, fortunately didn't last long).
worst: BNSF Halloween pumpkin black and orange.

The best US paint job, if that's what you mean, is undoubtedly the Santa Fe Warbonnet scheme, it's so iconic that even people who know nothing about trains recognise that one as a classic look. The worst one is the present BNSF orange 'Swoosh' livery, made all the more awful when you consider that to merge Santa Fe and BN and then ditch that classic Warbonnet livery in favour of something that looks like it was designed in 1975 - the era of the colourblind - when orange was actually a colour people chose, is beyond belief. At least Norfolk Southern had the good sense to get a decent livery out of their merger.

Best-Freight Warbonnet and Superfleet Warbonnet. Self Explatory.
Second Best-SP Bloody nose. The red ends look great with the grey.

Worst-Penn Central's Loco Livery. It's like they didn't even try to make something that looked good.

For me, the best paint scheme has to be Virgin Rail's Black and red paint scheme. also, the passenger scheme rocks too.
The worst paint scheme would be...Thames Link Programme's multicolour madness...

There was no real difference between the "Freight" Warbonnet, the Superfleet Warbonnet, and the Passenger Warbonnet, it was just called Warbonnet

Freight Warbonnet is something completely different.

Freight Warbonnet-I've heard it called Bluebonnet but I think that's taken by something completely different.

I believe Bluebonnet was given to the F-Units that were Blue and Silver.
I believe the freight one is called the yellowbonnet (or at least that's what I heard it been called).

My favorite: Santa Fe Warbonnet (the red and silver one) or the D&RGW Gold and Silver
Least Favorite: Pennsylvania Solid Tuscan (the scheme used in the years leading to the PC, about '65-'68)

Freight Warbonnet is something completely different.

The warbonnet is the red and silver, the one in the pic is the yellowbonnet, based off of the F7's that were also painted in a similar fashion but had silver.

Here's one you'll have to look up: Coolest scheme ever - Richmond Fredirksburg & Potomac's early 'E' unit scheme.

Worst ever (this ISN'T a troll) NS - which would be cool if it wasn't black and white, both colours almost impossible to paint convincingly on either a 3D model OR a Trainz skin :)
