Best diesel on trainz

There is also this one that I got off the DLS:

But I really think that the best diesel(s) in trainz is the BNSF SD40-2 pair over at USLW, I believe:

They feature custom cab, horn & bell, customizible running numbers, great 3D textures, and they are great to use!

Depends on the use. For road service (long hauls) I prefer any GE desktop. The reason why I don't like the control stands is because cab visibility is quite limited. SD40-2s are okay but I've become quite partial to the power of the newer GEs. But, any six-axle unit is virtually the same. I just prefer GEs.

I don't really care for the older four-axle units simply because it takes an absurd amount of them to pull any respectable amount of weight. It's not that they have trouble moving the weight, it's the speed at which they do so. Flat running is great, but as soon as you encounter the slightest grade you will notice a pretty big reduction in speed. I find that any more than 60 cars (loaded) and the units will start having difficulty.

Thank you smash and saintjimmy. I absolutely love bicentennial skins.:Y: Downloading now.;)

My favorite would be an English Electric Class 40, however, as I have no screenie of one, then my second fave would be a Deltic, and these can clag as well.....:hehe:

I can help with that ;)

Nice one Mike, thanks.....:mop:

Looking forward to playing with Rob's new toys.....:hehe:

My system crashed last week and it's taken me 5 complete days to get back to square one, but I've left ample room for TC3 and all it's extras.

EDIT: I've found one.....

I can let you know that the greatest diesel is a CSX SD70

These four are, in no doubts, the best!

The Conrail LSD70 and "slug":

The CP Rail SD40 and the CN "Slug":

If I were to pick one of these two (The Slugs are still part of "One"), I'd pick the Conrail and Slug!

Could somebody please tell we what actually does that "slug" serve for?:)
A Slug Unit, or "Master to Slave" units as called in the UK, are units that technically have no Prime mover. A large block of concrete usually acts as the weight of what would be the prime mover. It only has Traction motors, which draw power off the mother unit which has the prime mover. No slug can be operated as itself.
Personally, Slugs are useless units that serve no real road purpose unless they are needed for yard work. Some larger units like the ATSF's GP60Bs were units that had Prime Movers, but recieved all control from the mother unit.
My 2c.
