Bear Grylled Train

I watched this show, and remember watching him in a later episode explaining how he does things. They admit the show is theatrical, more of a "worst case scenario" type show. However the whole train thing was staged. In fact I think he said they had to do three takes before they got the emerging from the tunnel portion to look proper.

It would have to be staged. There is no way in hell that Discovery would leave that to chance. and what are the chances after being in the wilderness that you get a train right as you leave a tunnel

Also what are the chances a bridge like that in a flat area like that is abandoned. Easy scrap metal

Freaking fail. It is soooo staged. No railroad would allow you to just jump on a train like that. There was no reason to climb the bridge, and you NEVER walk through a tunnel.

Also, for a show about surviving, he forgets the number one rule. DON'T DO ANYTHING THAT PUTS YOURSELF IN POINTLESS DANGER!

Very likely actually, seeing as its a huge structure in the middle of nowhere, more work than its worth to scrap it. Why do you think so many of the bridges of the old Milwaukee Pacific extension still stand today.
Not defending the show of course, the crew would kick your ass if you first almost got yourself run over and then jumped on their train.

No way is this not staged. 1, he could have gone to the end of the bridge, and got on there. 2, why in the world would you walk into a railroad tunnel with tracks inside it?! 3, as much as I would love to do so myself, the jumping on the train part is just not feasible. The enginear would have seen them in the tunnel, and would be looking back to see what happened to them, seeing them getting on, and therefore he would stop the train.
