I was wondering what the correct scale is for a real world mileage for a map overlay? I tried making a 11 x 11 module and merging it next to my existing route but the distance between point A and B seems to be shorter than the distance on my route that I used mile sticks to measure between A and B, about 3 miles. BaseMapz has selections for different model railroad scales. I just want a 1:1 scale map. i might just stick with my own blank baseboards that I added on to a route from a defunct site and use the ruler and mile sticks to measure distances and use the measure distance tool in Google Maps.

I remember when it was released ...
The main reason I never used it was precisely because I couldn't find the option to do it 1:1 at the time. I don't know if it can be done any other way ...

Basemapz is 1 sq km (0.62137119 sq miles) compared to a baseboard of 72 sq m
