basemaps

I have read a lot of threads on this subject. no matter, still cannot create a base map,Looks like it ends up in the sim. but no picture just black.

create a pic. from google earth 1 klm.
chang it into, tga,-Jpg,-bmp.
clone amap in content, replace texture with mine, commit ok, no errors.
extra map AorB in sim. no texture.
any help is appreciated. thanks.

Ensure that your image is exactly 1024 x 1024

the black maybe stretched texture so that anything dark is really out of scale.

The image needs to be a TGA 1024x1024 and named the same as the image already in the base map. The config in the basemap can be given a different username and kuid number but everything else needs to be the same.

Wouldn't the image type depend on which type the config file of the Basemap refers to? The one I use requires a jpg file, not tga.

I have cloned 1km basemaps in CM.
(I have not yet changed the image)
I have Committed them, no error.
I cannot see them on the Objects tab.

I am still having this problem. I have changed textures to no avail. I have ordered TS2010, hope to get away from this prob. If i use a basemap without changing anything, no texture,


win 7-64bit.:'(

finaly have this resolved. Installed TS. on my old comp. the first thing i noticed .the world tab showed up (f6) then i set up my base map, and it worked fine the first time. now i have to figure out wat is wrong with my other comp. it is only 7 monthes old.
