Hi,

How if possible do you put a basemap on TRS2006 using Google Earth, Photoshop etc. (freeware if possible) i would appreciate it if someone could give me step by step help.

Thanks,

Sean

Maybe we need a basemap sticky. This question comes up on a frequent basis.
Anyway, the main points on using basemaps are on the Basemap Tutorial page, here...

I don't know how to work in TRS06, so hopefully someone with experience will drop by.
Photo manipulating can be done either in Photo Filtre or Irfanview.
Good luck.

The tricky part in using Google Earth is getting the same view height every time and croping 1 km squares.

Basemap is a piece of content like any building, but is 1km square so overlaps a baseboard. When placed it can be raised or lowered with the content height button. Basemap does not conform to the shape of the land but remains a flat surface. After you have laid roads, tracks, rivers etc the basemap can be removed.
