basemap problem

I am having a problem with the 1km basemaps in trainz 2009. I use the 1km basemaps resized to 1024x1024 as a reference so I can place down roads, bridges, buildings, and trees in their correct places. For some reason, this started yesterday, when I zoom in at a certain level or pan around the baseboard, the basemap disappears. When I am using the basemaps, I work in wireframe view. Also, for some reason, all the scenery that I have placed down takes a while to road, and sometimes, the train tracks disappear and then come back. Does anyone know how to fix the problem with the basemaps disappearing and reappearing, along with the long loading times and the disappearing and reappearing of the scenery that I have placed down.

This sounds like Trainz is limiting the view of objects due to memory resources.

This was a bigger problem with TRS2009 and early versions of TS2010. TS12 handles the objects and resources better than either version.

I don't know if this would help but here is some of my laptops system information, pertaining to memory. Is there a way to fix the problem?

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Total Physical Memory 3.96 GB
Available Physical Memory 1.89 GB
Total Virtual Memory 8.11 GB
Available Virtual Memory 5.90 GB
Page File Space 4.25 GB

Well, it seems that when ever I zoom out all the way to an aerial or satellite view, all the detail comes back but a couple of minutes later, the problem comes back.

This has nothing to do with your system. It's actually a limitation with TS2009 and some assets. TS2010 and TS12 handle this problem better.

I think the reason may be that the basemap is a very large asset, and it takes time to move it around and re-draw everything.
