Always needing help
Hi everyone..hope all is well,

In a route i downloaded, everytime i add a new baseboard to extend apart of the layout it is lower than the route/session baseboard in the orginal layout...

How can i have it that every time i lay a new baseboard it will be at the same height?

Kindest Regards.

The thing is: Every time you lay a new baseboard, it will be at the same height, just not the height of the land you created on other boards.
Every baseboard will show up at 0m height. There currently is no way to change that (as far as I know).

thanks for reply.

But this route has over 100 baseboards...so he would have to raise each baseboard in turn as he added more, then do all the detail..tracks,trees,roads,buildings etc.

What would be the purpose of this?...

maybe to make it hard for anyone to add to route?

No clue who this "he" is you are refering to, but yes: You would have to raise every basboard.
This "he" would have been changing heights anyway, as hardly any 720x720m field is completely flat.
Same goes for the details: "he" has to do that, no mather how high the board starts, so thats not relevant at all.

Quick height change

Any extended baseboard will have an uneven join if the landscaped part of the route has any merit.

Rather than face raising the terrain bit by bit from a deep cliff edge, or some near vertical extremely high cliff face I will always flatten the new board to some kind of average height using the Plateau tool.

With Radius set to maximum you can run just a few sweeps across the board and achieve your new flat height very quickly, starting at the edge of the previous baseboard at the average height of choice. If you get down to a shallow central viewing angle, each board can be revised from the same position, with sweeping mouse movement alone, in under 10 seconds.
