Hi Team,

Something has gone wrong in my latest update "ver129876" and my route is missing; how do I reinstall it from the backup folder ?

Cheers

An additional comment... I had a crash during the save a few days ago. Quite nasty. For the life of me, I could not figure out where to move the TZARC file that was automatically created to get it to work. Instead I had to rely on the CDP file that I had save a few days earlier. Not much lost work, but annoying nonetheless. My Trainz+ install is on an external drive. There is nothing that I can see in the AppData folder located on the C:....

Yes, nasty. That plus the panic that often follows such an event (been there, done that!).

For future reference (should it ever happen again 🤬 ) - the automatic backup .tzarc files are always in the Date-of-last-use (yy-mm-dd format) folder in the backups folder under your Trainz local user data folder, which you can find in the Trainz Settings window Install tab. The recovery method is to drag the required tzarc file (which will be named using the <kuid> of the route) into the editing folder, which is also under your Trainz local user data folder alongside the backups folder, and then perform a DBR. Full details (with pictures) can be found on the Trainz Wiki at https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/How_to_Manage_Backups

Hi pware,

Thanks for your reply. User error on my part: though I had read the wiki, it' obvious that I can't read properly... I completely missed the point that the folder in question was called "editing". I thought that the editing folder had a name linked to the build number. Geez... Hopefully I won't need it, but now I'll know for next time (hopefuully there won't be one!).
