Back to front loco`s ?

Hi All,
I`m hoping that some of you train enthusiasts can answer a question for a duffer like myself who knows little of railways.

In `Railworks 2`/ Train sim 2013, I selected a freight train task over the `Cajon Pass`. There were 3 EMD SD40-2 diesel loco`s attached at the front of the train, and another EMD SD40-2 loco` attached to the rear. I was puzzled to note that whilst the front two loco`s were coupled facing ahead [pulling] the third loco from the front was actually coupled facing rearwards [`back to front ] and the loco at the rear of the train was also facing rearwards [back to front]. This suggests to me that the two rearwards facing loco`s were actually having to run in `reverse`. Is this perhaps an error on the part of the games producers, or is there another explanation for this odd arrangement ? I would be most appreciative if someone can `enlighten` me on this.

this... "In `Railworks 2`/ Train sim 2013" is basically an arcade, in comparison to whatever unregistered version of Trainz you do not have. You are wasting time on here without any registered Trainz product. Just a warning before the storm brews...

I became a member of this forum quite a while back. I also happen to own four versions [legit store bought] of `Trainz`. I had just decided to become active again in `Trainz` But the unwelcoming tone of your reply to me [ with its warnings of a storm brewing ] has changed my mind. I want nothing to do with such attitudes.

Here`s something to whip up a storm about if you like. You liken `Railworks/ TS 2013 to `arcade`. Well then along with many other folk I happen to think that its gameplay, its scope in `mods` and `add ons`, and PARTICULARLY its graphics, are all FAR superior to any verion of `Trainz` I`ve seen to date.

pdkoester does have a point regarding possible storm brewing. Whist you seem honest enough, there have been quite a few other users on here with no versions showing on their timeline, who have been less than honest about the versions they have. Registering your versions also helps forum users identify what versions you have, as well as allowing access to the Trainz Download Station and the Maintenance of Way forums. It also confirms that the versions are legitimate.

Regarding Railworks, I've not personally played it, but from what I've gathered it's trickier to set up routes/sessions than it is in Trainz.

Yes, but trainz has LOTS more FREEWARE(and users).

@shaneturner I have Train Simulator 2013, it is nearly impossible to create a route/session/scenario unless you created the software...

Shane...Thankyou for your comments, and yes I do take your valid point. However I still feel that `pdkoester` is somewhat lacking in the diplomacy dep`t. Maybe its just his way, but who wants to be made to feel so unwelcome just for asking a simple question ?

Cheers.

You may be right there, although I cannot speak for other members of this forum as I do not know them in person. However, compared to some forums, this one is friendly most of the time unless something's seriously gone wrong (like a problematic Trainz patch).
