Audio bug with 3 part train horns?

On some of the 3 part train horns I've used the audio has a slight delay between the start audio file and the idle audio file resulting in a break in the horn sound. why does this happen and how can I rectify it?

Can anyone reproduce this problem? I can. With N3V payware. The NPR engine. Its kinda bad when all your recordings have the whistle bug in it.... I just expected i could re-record them when N3V fixed the bug but they still haven't, and all my videos demonstrate that tane needs some AUDIO ENGINE SUBSYSTEM OVERHAULING.

It a feature of TANE, not a bug. And the steam engine gear shifting sound is... NOT normal.... (real steam engines don't down shift in octave in their chuffing and tone as they speed up, but TANE does.)

Trust me, I made a bug report long time ago, and they are already working on the next version of trainz.

So i guess if you want it fixed, buy another product from them, and then buy the next one after that to fix its problems, please drive thru, have a nice day, enjoy your fries.

I wonder, does the Nickel Plate Road S-2 Berkshire Steam Locomotive (BROKEN PAYWARE?) gap its whistle in 2019?

Actually I can't find any engines in the DS that gap their whilsle.

How do I exchange TANE for 2019 so i can toot my horn, PROPERLY?

Ok, ok, enough of me being an ahole, what do we need to do to fix this N3V?

QA has updated this task under TSR 17958 with your notes and has bumped it's priority accordingly.

Good luck!

Hi - Thanks for the info. QA has opened a ticket for the issue in TSR 22727. It's probably a content issue where the recording loop has a blip in it. Can you send me the KUID for the loco? We can check for updated content and pass it along to the creator as needed.

The whistle gaps like that, in any route or session. Only with that locomotive.
On any computer I have test it on so far.
In any version of TANE, beta or release, on all of them so far.

This whistle gap in the nickel plate rail locomotive #764 that is found in the session high speed freight set,.
If you take that locomotive and put it in ANY session or route, its whistle will have this gap.
I have multiple recordings of the locomotive and its whistle gaps in every one.
This is a very old problem that happens on all routes and all computers i have test it on so far. (3 different computers)

Here is a recording done with a old version of tane and a old intel i7 platform with engine #764 on the nitterbalm route i think...
The whistle gaps right before crossing the road...

I AM HOLDING THE WHISTLE BUTTON DOWN all the time here,
I am not lifting the button at all, I am doing long blasts, but the game is gapping the whistle by its self, in the first 3-4 seconds of holding down the whistle.

Hi TINE - Thank you for reporting this to us. Is this sound gap just in this particular session or does it occur on your machine in a sample map with just the loco?

This report is from: TINE

1. Bug Summary
Steam engine whisle has a gap in the sound.

2. Build Number
92273 PC

3. Bug Appears in Previous versions?
Yes

4. Where does the issue occur?
Driver

5. Detailed Description
Open kickstarter country, run Nickel Plate High Speed Freight Set, and blow the whisle for a 5 second period. It will gap around the 3-4 second period.
Every video I make with npr engine, the whistle does this gap when I play it long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBvjjykX42g&t=373
I can sometimes stop it if I let off the whistle before the gap, and quickly press the whistle again, then the whistle just kinda fades and starts again, which is better than a gap of audio.

6. Reproduceable?
Yes

7. What you expect to happen
The whistle should play non stop until I release the button.

I contacted Mr. Steve Lerro of K&L Trainz as I was having the issue with some of his payware locomotives and he said the following:

It's been an ongoing issue as the game has been updated. I'll be issuing updated whistles to many of older legacy engines soon. All of the models you listed are from either 2013, 2014 or 2015. It happens because the start file in the whistle asset isn't long enough to match how fast the game is speeding it up to have it pitch up as you move faster.

Like I said, it'll be resolved soon on my end at least.
