If its one of my original ATLS assets, it will show 'something like' ATLS1 65,E,O. What it actually shows, (in blue) will depend on what settings you have made to the asset.
eg -
Here, my ATLS Controller is just being used in 'Level Crossing Mode'. It's set to Channel 2 so it therefore displays ATLS2[-1]. If you type whatever it says on you controller in blue, into the 'Name:' box and then save the Route, it will forever be there.
(Obviously to save to the 'route', you need to have opened Surveyor edit in 'Route' mode not 'Session'. If you're working in a Session Layer and place the asset while in Session Layer it will default to Session only. Even then you can still save the asset to a Route though if you change the layer setting...
Here's another example.
This Controller is on Channel 1 and has been set to control traffic lights. This time the encoded information displays ATLS1[65,D,N] so you will need to type those numbers into the 'Name:' box and save. (You must include the square brackets and commas too. EXACTLY as shown)
All MY ATLS assets have this facility so you can save all settings to a Route, (if you want to). Its up to you.
