ATLS Slave Asset mysteriously disappears from route.

Hi guys,

I am suffering from the abovementioned issue with TS12 49922. I discovered this after having the pleasure of waiting for an hour and a half while bloody TrainzUtil was doing some verify sh!t for the fourth time. The asset is actually still "there", which means when I look in that exact same spot in the minimap, there is a little box which indicates an asset's location. However on the route, it is just a piece of invisible track. Pick tool does not work. Obviously the associated crossing also does not work.

Prior to this all I did was install some of JR's new rolling stock and Ryan's signals. None of which had anything remotely related to ATLS. What in Beelzebub's holy name is the matter this time??

May need to talk to boat, he did some updates to sort out the problem created by N3V changing the invisible Train's kuid in SP1 which curiously caused the same problem you are having in 49922? Try adding the ATLS Slaves again which was the original workround in SP1, just checked my 49922 and they have gone from it so guess the fix has moved the problem to pre SP1

Edit: Just added one of the ATLS slaves back in 49922 and that's solved the problem.

Hi Malc,

Thanks for the come back. I might add what may be useful information; CMP doesn't doesn't show missing dependencies on my route. In fact, the ATLS Slave seems to be in perfect working order. You mention the KUID has been changed. Presumably I can just change it back to the old one in the config and all is well. However I intend to release this route and having the user to beaver about in CMP before being able to run my route is a big no-no. There has to be some other way to fix this.

Next up I would like to find out how I can avoid such nasty situations. First it was the fixed track turnouts. I had to replace them across the entire route. Then I replaced a texture and found more than a hundred sinkholes and black spots all over the route. Then I find the built-in tunnels won't connect to anything. Then all the portals disappeared (same issue here it seems) and I lost many hours worth of AI set up. Then now I have to replace, rename and re-setup no less than 14 crossing slaves. What's there to guarantee I won't have to re-lay all the track or roads the next time I install a few damned assets? This almost constant headache that is TS12 is driving me up the goddamned wall. The route was supposed to be out in May and we are halfway through July.

It was I believe the kuid for the builtin invisible train that was a dependency of the ATLS slave that got changed in SP1.
Sink holes are fixed in 58414 as is I'm pretty sure the fixed track issue is solved as well as a lot of other problems, however you get new annoyances to make up for it.
Such as bits of Consists randomly vanishing, track and splines have bits missing that then reappear, it's all totally random sometimes it doesn't happen.

Post by Boat about the ATLS updates here which i think should help http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?102242-ATLS-Question&p=1163648#post1163648 Think it's just a question of having all the updated bits.
