Asset Trouble?

Wondering if anyone has had trouble with assets being downloaded and the Trainz suddenly not working? I finally got all the assets downloaded after 2 days. The first day half downloaded and all was fine. Then 2nd day, the assets were all downloaded and then Trainz would lock up.:'( It would close it, then try to run it again, and it would tell that it couldn't open because it was still running. I couldn't find it in the Task Manager anywhere. I would then reboot my box and it would do the same thing. It would lock up after about 5 to 10 minuets of playing. I am relating it to one or some of the assets conflicting somewhere in the game due to I had no problems, what so ever, until I downloaded the 270 +- assets. (Windows 8.1 Pro/Dell Vostro 230/64 bit/GTX 660 2gig) Thoughts?? I've uninstalled Trainz and I'm currently re-downloading it now. Guess Ill see what happens tomorrow after it gets done downloading. I don't think Ill download all those assets this time and see how it works out. Thank in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.

A few things come to mind (in no particular order):

1. If TS12 locks up, wait 10 sec then look in the task manager to see if tasks trainz, taddaemon, and trainzutil are still running. Those must be killed also.
2. Make sure the Content Manager has completed and is reading state "Idle" before leaving it. Do not leave it while it says "Installing."
3. There are 2 database repairs you could have done given in the first menu of CM, it was not necessary to reinstall just yet under those circumstances.
 
Thanks deneban. I will remember that in the future if I have this happen again. Was perplexed and didnt know what else to do to repair it. Content manager might have been bypassed mistakenly while something was installing. Thanks again. Oh....and by the way...would that Fostoria be in the Buckeye State???

Just to clarify, you mentioned "First menu of CM"...Wanting to be sure what "CM" is referring to. Thanks again.
