Asset Database

Hi,
I'm using trainz 2010 at it's full build....
Yesterday i noticed that things in trainz were not working right...
meaning signals would'nt always click to tracks when i laid them ,nor would track markers and track direction markers...
a bit of a hit and miss, if they did or not.

So i did a database repair and came up with 1171 errors.
Each error reads :-

Error: Asset <kuid:#####:#####> does not match the asset database record

on all 1171 of them.
99% are from the download station so i know there good.

Do i need to backup and reinstall ? if so why has this happened?

Despite what it says, that is not actually an error. It is simply a diagnostic message (according to a previous post by N3V - I think it was WindWalkr's post)

Actual asset errors will appear under lines labelled '<asset kuid> failed validation'.

Thankyou for a reply.
Is what you saying that it is'nt a problem and ignore it?

As the other problem ,which i thought was because of the errors ..being laying track markers-signals-speed signs etc.
i know before that i could lay 10 in one section of the track if i wanted to ,but now its a hit and miss ...either it wont let me ..unless i restart trainz?
Maybe the track itself (1 track wood damp) i normally use UK bullhead wood 09 track.

See this thread for the fix you need for incorrectly marked 'faulty' built-in assets. If you are sure your problem is with DLS assets, skip the Built-in=True filter. Although it refers specifically to TS10SP2 the fix will work in any version...
