Hi Ben,
I would suggest putting your intentions into this forum, IE; intended asset Etc.
If no-one objects after 30 days (I think that's a decent time lapse), then go ahead, but mention the original author in your release notes.
Of course, that's only my opinion, I'm not sure about the legal or moral issues involved

It depends on the person. We have permission to reskin or modify some content creator's work who have died.

Otherwise you need permission form the estate.
