Article: TS12 SP1 Hotfix 1 now available.

May I suggest N3V just combining all the Hotfixes to a SP2? 5 Patches now and this will continue to rise in number? SP1 has some major issues. If this was Beta Tested, your Beta Testers failed you. FCT Issues, DLC Content Issues purchased from your new system, Content Manager (Not Responding) Issues in Windows 7 ALOT and Fresh Install, and DLS Content Download Issues I am finding.TS12 without SP1 seemed more stable than now.

i just wanted to report this tiny patch went just fine. and overall with SP1 i feel like im getting better performance out of trainz. CMP actually seems faster and is able to multi-task better than it used to. i know others are having an experience that is far different judging by some posts on here. but i just want to point out that not all cases are like that, and they are very likely to be an exception.

I don't know about troubles being the exception, there's hardly enough evidence to establish a pattern.

For myself, it installed fine, and did not seem to introduce any new issues. Everything it was reported to address, it seems to address. Of course there are other issues to be handled, but I look forward to them being addressed.

I ran Trainz 12 with the SP1 Patch on my desktop machine (Windows 7 Pro OS) at two model railroad club shows this weekend, and noticed that rolling stock that previously looked and ran just fine, now can't be seen. I also noticed some rather obvious problems with the scenery!

My next move will be to uninstall, then do a fresh install, then patch up to the previous patch!

Obviously, my advice to others is to stay away from this patch!

:cool:The patch is Great well designed new look for TS12 and i must say it helps a lot of users with multilayer and the add on's get installed as well. :(We do get freezing from time to time which does not help the game.

At least you see it that way - Midwest Grain crashes TS12 now with SP1. Sent error report.

This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted. what do i do?

Has a previous patch failed on your installation? If it has not, check it's patching the right folder - use the .. button and choose the right folder if needed.

That means you've either got the wrong patch or you need to click the .. button at the top of the patcher window and locate the Trainz.exe file in the correct folder.

Patch 49922 to 57720 worked fine.

I got this error log doing Hotfix 57720 to 57825:-

>Ready to install from local patch file.
>Current version: 57720.
>
>Checking for available disk space for patching.
>Unpacking patch file...
>Patching from 57720 to 57825...

>Failed to apply the patch: 57720_to_57825
>Patching aborted.

I guess I'll go down the backup/clear registry/restore route and see what happens.;)
