Unfortunately, OpenGL is not available in the latest builds as you have found. Only thing I can suggest is to either wait or revert to the previous version you had.

Something strange happenings with 74539:
1. Cleaned out previous build as requested before install
2. Ran install (completed successfully with no problems)
3. Ran Developer -> Rebuild Database (no errors or warnings)
4. Ran simc -> download all (no problems)
5. Ran Developer -> Rebuild Database (1 warning "Failed to download precached data from package 'tdd045' at build '74539')
? Is this a problem or should this be ignored?
6. Checked Manage Content -> faulty (empty display... no problems)
7. Start TRainz all sessions there and appear to be ok (C&O,ECML,Healesville,Kickstarter,Milwaukee,Season,The Bidye,Warwick)
8. Session -> Kickstarter -> Quick Drive -> New Train -> PRR T1 (put on track ok and automatically added engineer)
9. Exit driver without Don't Saving
10. Developer -> Rebuild Database (same warning as before)
11. Manage Content -> Filter: Download Station -> selected all content beginning with "Western Maryland"
12. RMB selected items -> Download (ran to completion and closed it's dialog box)
13. Developer -> Rebuild Database (progress gauge runs a quarter of way and hangs forever with "Scanning for added asset files(0 assset folders scanned)" message above!!!
14. After several hours close Building Trainz Asset Database
15. Tried Rebuild Database again (got 1 error "Duplicate repair attempt aborted"
16. Shutdown TANE completely, killed all TANE processes still running in Windows Task Manager and launched again
17. Ran Rebuild Database again and got same infinite hang at a quarter of progress with same message
18. Stopped Rebuild Database
19. Went into Manage Content -> Today (found 3 Western Maryland entries red (one Faulty, 2 missing dependencies)
20. RMB -> Delete all three
21. Tried Rebuild but go duplicate aborted.
22. Exit TANE completely and relaunched
23. Rebuild Database still hangs at a quarter of progress.
24. Went back into Manage Content -> Today and deleted rest of "Western Maryland" entries
25. Again exited TANE completely due to duplicate aborted error and relaunched
26. Because it appears TANE is hung while updating/repairing database, I will now uninstall and remove leftover artifacts
and reinstall without pulling any files from DLS until I hear back from Auran

Please let me know if I did something wrong or found a bug. Thanks,
=gerry=

Can you give me any hint, why DirectX isn't work. With Trainz 2012 I've absolutely no problems ...

This issue has been discussed on the beta forum and in several threads here. The fix for the hanging problem is to clear out the userdata\cache\internet folder. However, I think the files in that folder are used by T:ANE to speed up route loading but that is only a guess. As such, clearing out the folder seems to be the wrong thing to do. A bug report has been submitted.

Unless you know you have a database problem then it might be wise to avoid using the Rebuild Database command. Given the number of reports on this issue I hope N3V address it with some urgency.

Why are you repairing your database - are there any errors messages? Is the repair starting on it's own or are you manually running it? It should know when it needs repairing - i.e. theuser shouldn't have to do anything manually.

pcas1986 could you please give the full path to the "userdata\cache\internet folder. The only place I can find a cache\internet folder is
C:\Users\Gerry\AppData\Local\N3V Games\TANE\cache\internet which contains a bunch of .cdp and .php files and I don't think I want to delete any of those!

Interesting side note: Went to dinner for about an hour, came back and ran Rebuild Database again on same TANE which ran it okay but this time got quarter progress hand as before. Looks like this may be some kind of an internal error which has nothing to do with getting stuff from DLS!

That's the folder. Up to you whether you delete the contents or not.

In my case I had a couple of crashes, not due to T:ANE, but a suspected faulty power supply. That has been replaced. Commits for assets I am developing suddenly jumped from about 15-20 seconds per commit to over two minutes with lots of disk activity.

In my last message, I had a broken file and the installation fell over as well. In the absence of any response from Trainz, I downloaded from the Amsterdam Server (instead of London). It took the same time, de-compresseds perfectly, and installed without problem (although I have had to download hundreds of missing assets).
It appears to run perfectly and I'm impressed with the responsiveness of the trams, and the detail. A huge improvement!!!

Tony, I ran it manually as I have with every other version of Trainz. Whenever I install a .cdp from the DLS, I do this to check for any issues with the downloaded objects. The latest "fixes" in the list pointed out that the rebuild is now less than 30 secs. on a newly installed copy so I wanted to see it in action and sure enough it did just that at first. Then after idling for about an hour, the quarter progress hang showed up. Just reporting what I see,

Good to see you've sorted that issue, however I don't think it's something N3V can fix, as they use a third party installation tool. However, I may well suggest it to the people who make said installation tool.

Hello,
In addition to the “Norton” question I have encountered the same problem with getting past the second acceptance of the License Agreement in Setup as was reported earlier in this forum. The"Next" button is greyed out and there is nothing to click on the second agreement screen to accept it. My computer is a high performance ASUS laptop with Windows 8.1 and Nividia GTX 980M graphics. I had no problem installing the original CE and the V1.1 update. I have tried various screen resolutions with no success.

In desperationI decided to try to install V1.2 on my desktop running Windows 7 Pro. It worked perfectly. The desktop also has a GTX 980 graphics board. The appearance of the second agreement screen is identical on both computers except for the absence of the input for accepting it.

My solutionto putting T:ANE V1.2 on my laptop has been to copy the entire installed file from my desktop to the laptop. It works fine but what is the problem with setup?

After downloading v1.2 Steam edition, my created route and downloaded content are missing. Is tis normal? Will future updates delete all my work? I backed up the data but cannot install it. What is the best way to back up and reinstall my created routes?

I don't know if any one else is having this issue but, When I installed T:ANE CE v1.2 It installs fine, everything checks out, However, When you have loaded the game and started it, I get a blue back round and my only two options are the main menu button and the help button.

All I can say is I hope everything is fixed before I get my boxed set, I am very unsure of all this computer jargon and all I want to do is to play trains. It has been a long wait and I am praying everything will be ok for all the other none geeks like me. Have a nice day

Hi folks, quick question, I have pre-ordered Tane and am running Build 72079, when I went onto download V1.2 update message said I was not eligible for this upate. Any ideas please
