Let me second that. Great stuff. I too up ranked myself just as we went into the home stretch. It seems a lot of others did the same thing. Thanks everyone!!

I would be happy to add my own contribution, but unfortunately, the paypal payments are not allowed.
Watch this space as N3V are testing the paypal set up for pledges, should be up and running tomorrow, won't show on the KS total however it will count towards the Stretch Goals.

Congratulations to all 'Backers' and the N3V Team - We've caught the right train this time. Good things happen to those who are patient and are prepared to help out when necessary. Let's enjoy the ride! We are in for a treat.

Is Kickstarter new simulatoror or is it bolted on to TS12? I have looked in the forums but I can't find anywhere it says for definite what it is. I am getting my computer upgraded to run Kickstarter and I will make my pledge when it is done.

Kickstarter is the site being used to allow pledges for Trainz: A New Era (which is going to be the next version of Trainz) - click the green link above to access the site. Bear in mind that if you wish to pledge that way, you must have a suitable credit/debit card. Alternatively, you can pre-order/pledge at http://anewera.trainzportal.com which accepts Paypal or credit/debit card, but be aware that the latter only has a selection of what the former offers.

A note to those who wish to use the Kickstarter route - you only have approximately 31 hours in order to pledge via that method. After that, you will only be able to pledge for a selection of what's available on the Kickstarter site via the Trainz Portal site - http://anewera.trainzportal.com.

if you biuld your own computer you can save a ton of money

i really dont know anything about PC's but i built one for around 1200 if i was to go and buy it would have cost well over 2000 just do some research i will never buy a OEM PC ever again

I can't support it. I cannot afford a new computer. At least not right now. I wish I could. Don't get me wrong--- I'm REALLY glad N3V is updating the TRAINZ engine and making it more realistic, etc. etc., but I'm reired, on a basically fixed income (sob sob story) and just can't go out and invest in a new computer with all the "bells & whistles" that will be necessary to run the new Trainz game. It's frustrating to know my computer was "state-of-the-gaming-art" when I bought it in 2008 (i7 processor had JUST came out) and now, even though it runs really great, I might as well be without a computer when the new Trainz comes out.

[sigh] --- I guess I'm just gonna have to hang on to my TS12 for a while.

Cheers, (?)

I cannot find the book that came with my CD.

How can I find out the code of the CD key???:o

Thanks (remember, we bought it).

Welcome to the forums.

It looks like you already have your TS2010 serial registered to your account, so click Planet Auran, then Serial Number, then scroll down the page.

I just have a quick question (being the glass half empty type of guy): what if this thing dies on the vine, I take it the money just disappears?

***never mind, it seems the project is well underway***

One other thing to keep in mind...

The important things to bear in mind for T2 in terms of hardware is:

1.It's due to be a 64-bit application, so a 64-bit operating system and processor are needed (Windows 7/8)
2.It's due to run under DirectX 11, so a graphics card that supports this is needed (the FAQ covers a couple of examples of this).

You may get more details in the FAQ section on the Kickstarter page.

Shane

One thing often overlooked when the topic of graphics cards come up is that most off the shelf computers only have a 250W power supply installed. Higher end graphics cards require 500W power supply, which will answer the question, "Why doesn't my new hi end graphics card work?"

Hi Tony,

You know I've been bugging you about Mac stuff since June 2003 :)

I just received your newsletter and am happy to become backer. Just one question though: will DLC become available for the Mac version?

So far, I've bought a Windows Trainz versions (running under a Windows simulator worked, but was not great), the Mac Trainz, all three iPad versions, and multiple download tickets (including a lifetime one). However, I'm hardly playing Trainz anymore because it is too hard to get decent quality content on iPad or Mac versions. Getting free content is way too hard (there is no quality rating, you can't delete downloaded scenarios on the iPad, and the Mac version interface for the download station is a piece of shame, in contrast to the gorgeous simulator itself). Last, you guys refuse to take my money and provide DLC content for the Mac version (except for 2 tiny DLC on the iPad). So: do you plan on making DLC content available for the Mac version of Trainz: A New Era?

The upcoming Mac 2 version will provide access to all the existing and future DLC .. not long to wait now.
