Around the turntable

Im having a headache trying to sort out a problem with turning a turntable. If the turntable is aligned with the entry road its a simple case of driving up to it, entering the turntable and rotating it to the required exit. My problem is how to get the turntable to rotate to its correct place in the first place? Ive been following the tutorial that goes with AJS turntable and on the whole it is easy to follow. I've placed the track where it is needed - added in the track markers and even the lights. But if the track the loco arrives on is not the one lined 0/12 this is where Im having the problem. The tutorial tells you to drive to the marker which will be stopped by the lights. As the turntable is not aligned with the approach the loco just sits there. It cant complete the sequence to reach the track marker as the lights have stopped it (even though the lights are within the track marker zone - unless I have to have a large zone for the TM?). So how do I get the turntable to rotate so that it can carry on its sequence? The only solution I have at the moment is to do it manually - which defeats the object of doing it under AI.

You need to add the input table to your session rules and select move turntable in driver commands. You then have AI drive to a track mark just be for entering the turntable, give the command to move the turntable and then drive to the next track mark. The entry to the input table is:

turntable, turntable name, 3

the 3 is the number of stops on the turn table. Also make sure that the first entry, turntable, is not capitalize. The name of the turntable can be.

Thanks lewisco65. I already had all that set up - that was not the issue. However a good night's sleep and doing something else for a few hours did the world of good. I eventually discovered that the turntable had moved so very slightly - but just enough for the stubs to un-attach from the turntable. Having corrected that the turntable eventually did its job correctly.

I have the same issue, i have 1 train moving on and rotating 180 and train backs on storage, BUT i want to use for 4 trains to use the same turn table this does not seem to work. What am i missing?
