Westside 12 starting off on a cold Colorado morning
Pile Driver OB with D&RGW 346 providing steam
Westside 12 comes up the 4% grade with a 5 car train
Passing Henderson Tank
Running on Dual gauge
Standing near the top of the hill for switching
A unique oppertunity!! Westside Shay 12 with 10 (yes 10!!) freight cars coupled up, with a caboose at the end. We wished we had cleared off the main line, so we could run it around a few times, but we had two passenger cars about 50 feet from 12 at this
For the first time ever, two hot engines sit in the Colorado Railroad Museum Roundhouse
Once a year, I make a trip back home to Los Angeles for 2 to 3 weeks and it is normally done in spring (March through May). While I spend most of my time visiting family. I still get a few days for railfanning and one of those days is always a trip up to Cajon Pass. Anyways, Here are 6 shots from my Cajon Pass 2011 trip which took place in April of this year. Hope you enjoy the shots.
One from me, this was taken on the isle of wight in england, which is off the south coast, due to height restrictions in some of the tunnels, the line uses old london underground stock, seen here is a 2 car train, made up of old 1938 design tube stock, refurbished and given a new home on the island.
