817TAYLOR,

could you get some pictures of the junk between the mainline, where the WP 334 was parked, the old parking lot? Also near or around the substation near the shops?

That's perfect! Didn't they refer to that as Terry's barn? Still got the soldiers autos in it? I snuck in there when I was 12, saw some barn owls in there, and dust covered vehicles.

Inside now is a bunch of equipment, mechanical parts, an engine, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Yes it is known as Terry's barn by some, and to others, Blakemore.

I haven't heard it refereed to as Terry's barn for about 4 or 5 years and that was only once or twice. Everyone normally just refer to it as Blakemore.

if you were there in the 1980s, it is quite possible my father or his friends could have met you, if you were a regular. they were more into the trolley and traction, dressing up to operate and be conductor in authentic uniforms.

On Saturday I went to Ballarat via North Shore.

First time I've seen an 81 Class in Geelong.

Took over 2 hours to Ballarat due to it being 90% uphill (85km) and under 2 hours to North Shore with 90% being downhill, also had several stops for cross overs and point changes too.

Cheers.

I've only been volunteering their for the past 5 years but I've been visiting off and on since the late 1960's. But I have heard many stories from many of the long time members of some people and different things that had happened from back then.

Since I'm here I might as well post a picture.

Did you know any of the following:

Bob Battles
Bob Coon
John Plytnik
Ben Marsh
Dana Griely
Dana Koester
Bruce Stevens
Paul Trimble
Ross (not sure last name, always running the WP 94)
Harry Demoro

That's just a few off the top of my head, I know there should be more from then. Thanks for replying.
