Are you a rail photographer??

sctalbott

Thanks for the WM 734 photos. I've been watching some videos of that loco on the steam photo freights run on the Western Maryland Scenic and she sounds and looks just beefy, especially with that whopping great Mountain tender on the back.

If we don't hear from Steve Lerro soon, I might have to make one myself.

Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony
The WM offers train cab rides. On that particular day I was able to ride in the cab. I love steam trains and if I can get the chance to ride in a cab, its worth every penny to me. I would love to see the WM 734 in Trainz. I was not allowed to drive it, but had the opportunity to sit at the controls, when it wasnt moving
Thanks Steve

2 wet ones from me, taken on Monday 25th June 2007, when my train was (supprise supprise) late! It was running 9 down when it arrived at Fishbourne, by this time, the heavens opened.

450 121 is seen hurrying through Fishbourne, with a Basingstoke to Brighton service at around 10:28. The train is booked to arrive at Chichester at 10:31.

(P.s. this service is proposed to be axed from the December timetable.)

Great thread, Col. There's some great pics here. Although I wouldn't classify myself as a rail photographer, I do take photos of rail related things....

Tell me Lance, you didn't hear the song "I come from a land down under" coming from that end track buffer by any chance??:p

Ugly Ducklings!

Hi Lance, when I saw your photos I was surprised at how functional the trains were. In the UK we have a tank engine (it used to be on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway) that is plain ugly so much so that it gained the unofficial name of Ugly, but I think that those in your pictures beat it hands down! I never took a photo of it but here is one of my sons efforts of a British commuter train, and we probably have to cram in as many passengers as the double deckers you show!

You think those are ugly? You should see what was in service in East Germany, in fact someone makes them for Trainz here, they are the wagons titled "DBvge".
