Are Semaphore Signals Available?

Are semaphore signals available, either already on Trainz12, or on the download station? I am looking for the kind used in the United States (or close to them, I am not real particular).

Thank you for your help.

Philskene, your semaphores are exactly what I was looking for. I don't know much about how semaphores operate, but it appears that you have a permissive and a non-permissive double version. I cannot find a similar semaphore of yours that is only for one track, and not for use at a turnout. I may be incorrect as to the use of these double semaphores. If anyone has any explanations, please let me know. I am a novice at using Trainz surveyor, and a novice in the use of semaphores. I want to use them because they look better than just having lights change colors.

Thank you

Dean,

Also check for Frogpipe. He made some awesome older semaphores as well. I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for.

I presume that you are looking for US semaphore's

There are 2 types: signal mast, and gantry

I have yet to see ones that resemble the old PRR semaphore's ... but there are a few that are somewhat similar

Allot of the semaphore's on the DLS are LH track side, and are clearly not US prototypes

Thats because the UK and parts of Europe used Semaphores right up into the 70s and beyond, and still continue to use them in some places. The U.S. had a cornucopia of semaphores until about the 20's/30's where electric lamp signals, which could be seen farther at night and in in-climate weather, made traveling at higher speeds safer. Of course we then ended up with a cornucopia of Electric Signals until between the USRA, the FRA, and the death (Or amalgamation, depending on how you want to look at it) of alot of the more varied companies finally saw more standardization in most places (Not that we still don't have a crazy amount of varied signal types for a single nation).

Frogpipe, SeniorChief, and Philskene are the authors to look for for American Semaphores, and though their work is outstanding, it is but a fraction of the types and styles that were used. Nobody else to date to my knowledge has made a complete set of US Semaphores (Something truly lacking. Talk about an easy way to date a Model, geez).
