Anywhere compete with this rail connection?

Scotland's two biggest cities are in a very special and might be unique railway situation. That they have more than one passenger railway line between them.

(1) Glasgow (Queen Street) High Level - Edinburgh. Fast and recently electrified.
(2) Glasgow (Queen Street) low Level via Bathgate. Suburban and rural route.
(3) Glasgow (Central) - Edinburgh via Shotts. Rural.

These ARE separate.

Well, that depends on what you mean by connected. I would assume you mean by direct lines, otherwise there are 10s of ways to go from Chicago to New York in the USA, but for direct lines there is (using road names from the 50's) NYC's water level route, the Pennsylvania's main line, and I believe the B&O and C&O both had lines further south that connected the 2 city's.
