Any way to be able to place (in surveyor) trains right up to the end of track?

When placing trains in surveyor, it doesn’t let you place them within 10 meters of the end of the track. Is there any way to change that (along the lines of trigger radius for switches, or a global setting), or are you just stuck putting invisible track at the back of each roundhouse stall if you want to start a locomotive inside? Only asking since the current situation (highly unusual) would require hundreds of pieces at an extremely high density, to the point the surveyor-only line and spline points would get in the way (visually) when placing groundtextures.
Thanks.

Which version of Trainz are you using?

I just tried that in Trainz Plus and had no problems placing a consist right up to the end of the track. I could even place it so that the lead wagons were past the end of the track and derailed. I was able to do this regardless of whether or not the track end had a buffer.

TANE, in surveyor; also the same in trs2009 and possibly trs2006. (At least as far back as trs2009, possibly always for the last 20 years.) (Note that I’m not using any quickdrive-related placement. Purely using the old menu in surveyor. This is also going to be saved in the route layer; industrial trams that were hand-pushed on a track network, don’t actually interact with them, they’re for show.)
