Any good UK Routes?

Hey Folks,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't really sure where to put it!

I'm looking for a UK route which has a fairly large terminal (preferably good enough for 390s and 220s) and is fairly good in length, does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers!

Hi trains08,

There are several good UK routes on the Download Station. One I quite like is Midshire Mainline, which is currently version 3. You will need to use your TS2009 version to run this route though.

Also look for routes by angelah, and a few other creators as well.

The UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version) thread in the Screenshots forum has quite a few screenshots from various UK routes as well (including my private route)

You may find though that some of the great UK routes have been updated to Trainz Classics or later standards.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for getting back to me!

@shaneturner - Upon trying to download Midshire Mainline from the DLS I click 'Download Helper', Content manager opens and the download appears in the top left then has 'an unknown content error'.. not sure how to get around that one? I have indeed seen your route in the Screenshots area, very nice work!

@johnwhelan - I have seen your list in the past - very comprehensive! The one problem I do have with it though is that Im not sure which routes meet the specificatons I'm after, ie. preferably a terminus and a fast mainline! If you could point me to a few I'd be very appreciative!

Cheers,
Connor

A route with a couple of very large stations, And a nice long high speed electrified section ..as well as local tracks ... UK Valley Rail.
Only thing is, the stations are interesting, but not passenger enabled ...:'(

But still is a nice route. Bob P.

There are known issues when it comes to downloading Midshire Mainline V3 - best method is to download it manually using FTP, or get the KUID of it and have a read of my blog post 'Interesting Tidbit - TS2009 SP4 and later' , which details how to install assets using TrainzUtil. (Bear in mind that you will need TS2009 SP4 installed to do the TrainzUtil method)

Either way, once it's installed, you can then download the dependencies using Content Manager.
