Animated eagle & red box

I added the eagle to my layout and a red box appeared on the ground which I assume is how you move the asset. But now the red box has disappeared but the eagle is still flying. How do I get it back?

I searched through the documentation available but could find no reference to this.

Thanks.

The red box is in Surveyor as you observed when you placed it. If you can't find it in Surveyor, you may have buried it in the terrain. To see through the grid, press the F9 key. You'll then see anything that sits below the surface, and you can do what you need to do with that object.

Thank you very much. I thought that might have happened but I didn't know how to find it to fix it.

Good luck! :)

Seriously, it's a pain in the butt finding the nearly microscopic, ant-sized dot that supports the birds. Way back in the olden days when I discovered these birds. Way cool, I placed them and couldn't find them, so I put down another then another, then another but still couldn't find them until I pulled out my camera and saw a major flock of ducks flying in circles! The issue was the birds so happened to be out of sight when I was placing them and never saw them and though I had done something wrong. No, these weren't so difficult to remove like a single one buried somewhere.

Anyway, go to the vicinity where you placed your birds. With the grid showing, tip your camera sideways to look within the terrain a bit. You might have to move trees, buildings, or other things out of the way in order to see the small red asset. This is a long process, so don't get frustrated if you can't find the snot-sized thing right away.

This is also the same process to find a gazillion sound-making objects. I had coughing children that sounded like they were dying from pneumonia, and barking dogs so loud I could hear them 5 baseboards away on a route I imported into another. I spent about 3 hours hunting these things down using the method above until I found each one and deleted them one by one. Vanquishing this enemy felt extremely rewarding afterwards.
