I've just logged into an old email account, an account I haven't used for atleast 4 years to discover this email from auran:

I am angry due to the fact that Auran is talking out of their rear end.
I have had 3 copys of trs2004 and 1 copy of trs2006. I've had 3 copies of 04 due to the fact that my original '04 disk got damaged, I posted this problem in the old trs2004 forum stating that it looked like it had been used as a coaster and found that auran were the selling trs2004 relatively cheap compared to local stores and they had their BOGOF offer on.

Why did I receive this email, I haven't attempted to register anything since i registered trs2006. So why did I receive this email??????????/

I agree, but we would have missed the pleasure of reading the rant.

I seem to recall they did a mail out to serial numbers that someone had attempted to register more than once. Some people who are into cracking software protection basically had worked out some valid serial numbers some of which where used to register illegal copies.

But someone else could have.
Have you never heard of Email addresses being hi-jacked ?
Either use it or cancel it, either way you make sure you don't get scammed.

It looks like someone had registered that serial number illegally before you attempted to register it legally, this happened to me years ago with V1.1 :hehe: I contacted Auran and they only asked for a copy of my receipt, as soon as they received it they unregistered the old illegal account and registered it in my name, so if it still worries you after 4 years just contact the help desk. (Zec really likes the business :hehe: )
