When I go to Surveyor (Trainz 2006) & try to set up andi06's, "JK Point 10-SD Double Slip," (kuid2:122285:4036:12) I can't figure out what I'm doing. I've read other people's questions here at Auran as well as gone to other sites, but about the only answer I've found is click on the JK Point Help Button when in Surveyor. The problem I have with that is, when I hit, "Help," all that appears is a white rectangle with the words, "Property Editor," at the top. What do you have to do to get the track to work?

Here are all the dependencies I have downloaded. They're all the dependencies, "Content Manager Plus," says I need:
JK Ballast Texture Library ----------- kuid2:122285:4011:10
JK Control Box ---------------------- kuid2:122285:4007:1
JK Help Files ------------------------ kuid2:122285:4009:10
JK Help icon ------------------------ kuid2:122285:4090:10
JK Index Node Marker --------------- kuid2:122285:4003:10
JK Junction Node Marker ------------ kuid2:122285:4002:10
JK Junction Wire (Grey 2 Core) ------ kuid2:122285:4005:3
JK Rail Texture Library -------------- kuid2:122285:4010:10
JK Sleeper Texture Library ---------- kuid2:122285:4012:10
JK Track icon ---------------------- kuid2:122285:4095:10
JK Track Node Marker -------------- kuid2:122285:4000:10

Including the dependencies of JK Sleeper Texture Library:
JK Icon ---------------------------- kuid2:122285:4091:10
JK TM Icon ------------------------ kuid2:122285:4094:10
JK VEB Icon ----------------------- kuid2:122285:4096:10
JK VMD Icon ----------------------- kuid2:122285:4093:10

P. S. I have read that you do & that you don't have to wire the track on different threads, what is the answer? I see what I have downloaded needs, "JK Juction Wire," so I would assume it does need to be wired. Does Andi have another version of the double slip track that doesn't need to be wired?

Double Slips

Hi Justin99

This is my first post here so can I first say hello to everyone.

You need to visit andi06 website http://www.ajsmith.nildram.co.uk/trs/ where you will find some tutorials which tell you how to use the pointwork. There is also a link to download all the dependencies for the whole system. I notice that your list of dependencies does not include blue and green junction wire which you need to wire up the points. If you download all of the pack you should have everything you need.

It is essential that you name the slip and the junctions correctly and in the correct order but this is explained in the tutorial. I spent quite a while trying to work out how to use the system but once I understood it I have found it easy to use.

Try the above first but if you still have problems I will try to help further.

The only problem that I have had with the points is using slips and crossings in scenarios programmed using SCS2006. It seems that SCS2006 cannot find a path through them even though they work perfectly when using the usual AI driver commands. I have had to design the layouts using only the normal types of point to get around the problem. If you don't use SCS2006 then you shouldn't have any problems.

Hope that this helps

Post back to the thread if this doesn't get you started. You will need at least one of the Junction Wire assets that Kennilworth mentions but they are not direct dependencies and won't stop anything from working. All of the assets need to be wired at present.

As far as SCS is concerned I haven't heard of any problems here. SCS won't know anything (and doesn't need to know anything) about the mesh assets but it should be able to deal with the junction levers directly.

I've figured out my problem, I was titling the junctions say, "Junction 1," "Junction 2," etc., clockwise, beginning with the blue node as you're supposed to do, but when I gave the entire track a title I put, "Junction [1, 2, 3, 4]," instead of, "Junction [1,2,3,4]." Now the rails are switching.

Is there a way to have say, "Junction 3," automatically switch the right direction when you switch, "Junction 1?"

Thanks for your help,
Justin

Hi Brian,

Single and doubleslips junctions from Andi06 work very well with SCS2006. You just have to wire them and code them properly
