Dont remind me, were going to have to wait over 3 years before we start seeing amfleets and HHP's. Buy the Payware from Magicland, thats all your gonna have for a long time, even if it is inferior to Conny's work

Yeah I think 3 years is a little too far.... Considering at the rate Corey produces material and the fact that now he's releasing his creations, I think we could start seeing this stuff within the next year or so.

You mean the horn problem? Yeah, I mean nothing is perfect, and he was well aware of the problem, that's why he released v1.1
And yeah, I too am well aware of his next project, and am hopefully going to be contributing a bigger part to the rolling stock.

No, I'm being realistic. Go ahead and prove me wrong. I have pretty much given up Trainz because there has been nothing impressive and new for a long long time. The only pieces of content that have impressed me any bit is the K-28 for Todd, Your AEM 7 (after wanting new amtrak equipment for over a year) Conny's Amfleets, AEM 7, and Acela HHP.

the HHP and Amfleets were nothing more then a tease to get peoples hopes up, then leave everyone at the curb.
Not to mention the DLS has been dead for a month now, I have my Subway route waiting....and its been waiting since the 17th of April. Not as long as some people, but its getting annoying
I thought I would never say this, but right now, Trainz is going downhill big time.
Only worthwhile stuff is payware

Okay, im not going to sit here and debate about the state that the community is in, because it has been declining for over a year now. Atleast 30 people left, maybe its because of the overmoderating or overall decline in qaulity, who knows. But i don't want to stick around if people are going to give me a hard time about releasing stuff. I want to release alot of stuff, but seriously, it's a hobby, not a profession, so theres only so much i can do. Sorry you feel that it will take 3 years to get a few cars done, but that's surely not being to optimistic, and frankly, makes me not want to stick around to see if thats true or not. So let's just stop the crap about it right here, because whining about it won't get us anywhere.........

You do bring up some good points Klinger. I have to say some of my patience has run thin on people to get out their stuff.
But then again it is Freeware we're talking about. I feel that Freeware doesn't necessarily have to have a deadline, because it's free. Then again making hype for your product and then never releasing it, is pretty depressing and hits hard on hopes for future freeware releases, at least ones that are considered "impressive."
Then of course there is vaporware, but you can't always blame vaporware on the creators. Most of the people don't have time to always create something, and then prepare it for release. Due to whatever time constraints people have. I myself have class everyday of the week, plus all the extra work and studying, and my jobs to take care of. So creating content in Trainz seems like it just wouldn't fit into my schedule, and even if I was to create something, I probably wouldn't have time to finalize and release a beta. But then again you get back to the issue of creating hype and then dropping the product.
As far as the loading problems go on the DLS, I have to say, the system of getting the content on there is rather screwy. Maybe it's time someone sent an e-mail to Auran telling them to get their act together on some of this stuff.
Hello gentlemen , I think , here is the amtrak-screenshot-Thread or not? Corey and I making amtrak-stuff in our freetime , and we will release when we want or not. It's freeware and we have no obligation that we must do it!
My models are all betas , not perfectly and ready for use, I think I need a lot of time to finished something.Here we show pictures from our Amtrak-layouts in Trainz not more.
For me is it more difficult to making models with gmax , I'm working with gmax a good year ,not more, and I have a lot to learning with gmax before I can say now I'm versed .
Well , Trainz is an hobby , it needs a lot of free time and we have a life outside of virtuel world ok ?
